“Who am I? Who is the other? Where do we come from? What do we belong to?” These are the basic questions around which ‘Être’ orbits, this dance-theater piece that combines philosophy, words, and movement, through the techniques of physical theater and contemporary dance. An intimate, poetic and reflective discourse that seeks to offer a new perspective on what we call “identity”.

Miguel Jiménez: Creator, performer and dancer, graduated from the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Murcia specialized in Creation Theater, is a young man interested in the dynamics of physical theater and dance theater. His present objectives are focused on the scenic creation through the crossbreeding of theatrical disciplines and movement techniques, being the central core of his research the study of the human person through the exploration of the body. His creations are influenced by Breaking, Hip Hop, Capoeira, and Contemporary Acrobatic techniques, always wrapped in a deep care of the image and a sincere and close poetics. In September 2023 he received the First Prize for Performing Arts at the Creamurcia Festival for the premiere of ‘Être’. Currently, he has premiered his second play ‘Être’.Currently, he has premiered his second piece ‘Sweet disappearance of doubt’ in co-production with Teatro Circo Murcia, and continues in parallel his journey with ‘THE’, a creation with Andrea Carrión that collected this December 4 awards as a finalist in the 38th Choreographic Contest of Madrid. He is also a founding member of La Casa, an emerging contemporary theater company, with whom he distributes ‘El Sótano’ (Audience Award and Accésit Award at WeNow International Festival 2023).
