Barbed-wire fences and artillery cannons populate its borders. But inside the DMZ, there exists a peaceful natural environment that is perhaps the least affected by human hands in all of Korea. The Korean Demilitarized Zone is a potent symbol of a divided people. This performance attempts to bring the DMZ into the consciousness of our everyday lives. Over half a century has passed since the DMZs establishment, and it has been the subject of national security studies, academic inquiry, environmental research, and even tourism.
