AC\/E PICE Programme<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

At this 22nd edition, the mobility grant from AC\/E’s Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) will help to develop the internationalisation work of emerging local artists abroad.<\/p>\n

ACTFESTIVAL is making a strong commitment to reaching as many programmers as possible. This is the key for emerging companies to gain access to a more consolidated circuit, and our festival serves as a springboard for this. Each edition we select a group of agents who fit in with the proposals we programme, trying to ensure that the companies get the maximum learning and benefit out of it.<\/p>\n

The festival does not limit itself to providing programmers with the opportunity to view pieces, but also encourages and organises meetings where companies can understand the keys to distributing their work abroad.<\/p>\n

    Claire Binyon <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Claire Binyon is Associate Professor at ESMAE Escola Superior de M\u00fasica e Artes do Espet\u00e1culo de Porto (Portugal), and Coordinator of the Master in Performing Arts.<\/p>\n

    She organises the International Encounter in Devising and Feedback Methods (IEDFM) held in Porto in December, sponsored by ESMAE, bringing together emerging international companies and artists, students and teachers. Its 2024 edition revolved around \u2018cultural dialogue\u2019, a theme closely related to the process of expansion and the development of new collaborations with European partners in which IEDFM is involved.<\/p>\n

    Its participation represents an opportunity to disseminate the work of emerging artists in our neighbouring country.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Jonathan Holloway<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Jonathan is an English artistic director with an extensive background as a programmer and advisor to arts organisations and institutions around the world, from the UK, to Australia, Brazil, France and North America, which has led him to acquire a rich international artistic vision.<\/p>\n

    He currently works as a programming and strategy advisor to the Royal Docks Originals Festival in London (UK), the Gaillard Center in South Carolina (USA) and the World Cities Culture Forum.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Itxaso Moreno<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Basque actress and creator based in Scotland for 25 years. She has been involved in a multitude of productions ranging from puppetry, dance and choreography and object manipulation to multilingual approaches to storytelling and, more recently, the adaptation of Shakespeare for live performance with audience interaction through Zoom.<\/p>\n

    Since her arrival in Glasgow she has been part of Oaksbark, a multidisciplinary company that does important work in disseminating emerging creation (dance, theatre and new languages) by documenting and filming artistic works.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Katharina Reinthaller<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Austrian stage director and playwright based in London. From there she co-directs the Voila! Theatre Festival, together with Amy Clare Tasker. The festival is held every November in a dozen venues in the London capital.<\/p>\n

    The festival’s programme, which will celebrate its 13th anniversary in 2025, combines multidisciplinarity with multilingualism and the multiculturalism of emerging British and international art.<\/p>\n

    Voila! puts also aims to be a platform to support artists who want to take risks, presenting new work, approaching new audiences or investigating new languages.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Zak Valenta<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Choreographer, dancer and programmer. Founder of the Trafik company and its current artistic director, he is a pioneer of the Croatian scene (dance and choreography). He is also a great connoisseur of the contemporary Balkan scene, in which he is involved as a programmer, performer and curator for the National Institute of Music and Dance and the European Dancing Together, Again! programme, among other projects.<\/p>\n

    Zak Valenta’s participation is an opportunity for the dissemination of the work of emerging artists in Croatia and the Balkan peninsula.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    In addition to being a competition and an exhibition festival, ACT also has the character of a fair. Every year, we invite performing arts professionals, producers and programmers from both the national and international scene to join us during the 4 days of the festival, being this facet of the festival a priority objective.<\/p>\n

      The aim of these invitations is to consolidate ACT as a meeting place in which to exchange experiences and generate international networks and collaboration strategies between professionals from different contexts.<\/p>\n

      It is also an opportunity for artists and companies participating in ACT, who often find new professional opportunities through meetings with programmers or professionals from festivals and venues.<\/p>\n

      The ACT organisers encourage the meetings to take place both organically and convivially at lunches and dinners, as well as in specific spaces such as ACTmosfera.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
