<\/a> It represents a challenge to stay focused on what’s important in the face of relentless distractions and endless external information that constantly bombards us in the fast-paced modern world we live in. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

<\/a> Charly<\/b> is an interdisciplinary dance artist based in Brussels, Belgium. She graduated with highest honors from Rutgers University in 2017 with a major in philosophy and minors in dance, music, and creative writing. The following summer, she founded a contemporary dance company called mignolo dance (mignolo.dance) with her sister Eriel. She recently earned an MFA in Dance through Bennington College’s low residency program. Choreographic highlights include winning Gdansk Dance Festival’s Solo Dance Contest, coLAB Arts\u2019 new choreography commission, Making Moves Dance Festival, Norte Maar\u2019s CounterPointe, Rider Dances, FAKI Festival in Zagreb, Croatia, a Kulturfactory residency in Domicella, Italy, Altofest in Naples, Italy, and Thessaloniki Fringe Festival in Greece. Charly\u2019s work has been produced by HERE Arts Center, Jersey City Theater Center, GardenshipArt, The Berrie Center, Dixon Place, Arts On Site, and the Metuchen Arts Council. She has won screendance awards at several international film festivals and is also a freelance dance critic and journalist. Charly was awarded a 2023 Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n
