cultural archive and a tool for collective expression.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Cumbia en la Sangre is a project of research, creation and artistic production that explores cumbia as a cultural, physical and social phenomenon, creating spaces for artists, researchers and communities to come together, promoting the transmission of knowledge, the visibility of identities and the building of cultural networks around this living art form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\" align=\"justify\"><strong>Alex Vald\u00e9s<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">He is the artistic director of Bailar con el Coraz\u00f3n, a professional inclusive dance company; co-director of Extrem\u00f3filas, an interdisciplinary collective that won Flash ACT 2021 (Art, Science and Technology) with the project Misi\u00f3n 2030; and a researcher on the Cumbia en la Sangre project, which focuses on the study, documentation and creation of works based on cumbia as a cultural phenomenon. He is also an advocate within the HEN community, a platform focused on the inclusion and accessibility of people with disabilities within the performing arts, from a perspective of cultural rights, support and the transformation of artistic practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">A graduate of the Monterrey School of Music and Dance with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Contemporary Dance, he has further training in Cultural Management for the Performing Arts (UDG), Internationalisation of Dance (Ibero-American Dance Platform) and Dramaturgy in Contemporary Dance (University of Veracruz).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">His artistic work has been presented in Mexico, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and the USA. He has performed as a dancer and performer with various international companies and directors, and has worked as a movement director and choreographer on audiovisual productions. The fundamental objective of the work is to recognise and expand the dancer\u2019s psychophysical qualities in order to investigate the expressive and communicative forms offered by the stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The workshop is designed as a dynamic laboratory that goes beyond the purely choreographic, shifting the focus to the exploration of different theatrical codes through the use of various movement techniques.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The educational aim is to explore the possibilities of stage creation.
