On October 17, the DURI Theater in Seoul, South Korea, hosted the premiere of “Material,” by the Valencian company Teatro de los Chinos. The piece won the DURI A 2025 Award at the latest edition of the ACT Festival, held in June. The jury recognised “the unique blend of energy, intellectual humour and poetic expression of the show. Because it represents the bold and thoughtful voice of a new generation of artists, and its quality and sensibility make it particularly suitable for international audiences\u201d.<\/p>\n
Written, directed, and performed by Alida Molina and Laura Bell\u00e9s, with Paula L\u00f3pez Collado as stage manager and producer, ‘Material’ is about reviving ideas that have been shelved.<\/p>\n
The play has already started, but Alida doesn’t want to leave the dressing room. Laura is pissed off waiting on stage.
