“The Liminal Body” views archival records not as traces fixed in the past, but as entities continuously brought into the present through relationships. Within the boundaries where body and record, image and reality, and past and present intersect, it reveals a state of belonging completely to neither side.”
A work commissioned by the Seoul Museum of Art
F-A-E Archive stands for Frame Act Echo. It is a Seoul-based company comprising KWON YOHAN, KANG DANIEL and KIM SOONA. It is a collective that explores reciprocity between the body and the imagery, rooted in movement and media work. Among its most recent works is “Intertwined”, an exploration of the state in which a single body is overlaid by two or more identities and narratives. “The Liminal Body” is a piece that was created in 2025 and premiered at the DURI Theatre in Seoul. Now, the Guggenheim Museum is hosting its international premier.
