This dance is divided into four parts: Give me up, save me, find me, exile me. It is inspired by the story of Icarus’ fall. Through the performance, the artist seeks to make the audience feel the power of loneliness. Those who are on the edge of reality can also have the courage to surpass themselves.
Yingyu Lyu is a choreographer and contemporary dance artist holding a dual Master’s degree in Choreography and Dance Performance from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP, France) and Northeast Normal University (China). Her artistic practice merges Chinese classical dance foundations with European contemporary methods, exploring the body as a poetic space of memory, gender, and identity. Yingyu continues to develop works characterized by precision, flow, and experimentation, fostering intercultural dialogue through dance.
