Ultra Violet

Taking Foucault’s theory of discourse, gender and power as a starting point, the piece offers a critique denouncing gender-based roles in today’s society. Through satire, existing norms related to power and social success are questioned from a feminist point of view.

Graduated from Trinity Laban (First Class BA Hons Contemporary Dance) she has worked with different choreographers nationally and internationally. In England, she works with choreographers Lizzie Kew-Ross, Stephanie Schroeber, Zoi Dimitrou and Wayne Mc Gregor Company. In Spain, she works with Poliana Lima Company and the multidisciplinary creation group Soundpainting, among others. At the choreographic level, he has been creating works since 2014. A first piece, Le Rouge nº 6 was shown at Laban Studio Theatre, followed by Daedalus, presented in different alternative venues in Madrid and at the Sismoffgraff festival. 2017 gave rise to Write your Dance, interactive performance presented at TRIBE 17 London International Art Festival and at Gau Irekia 2018. In 2018 she receives a grant from the Basque Government for Choreographic Creation, under which she creates Room, and later in 2020 she receives for Aspects the Transizioak grant from Harrobia, in addition to the Production grant from the Basque Government.
