DURI ACT 2024 Award – Flor Buzzo’s “Everything under control” performed in Seoul

Posted on 24 de November de 2025

The award-winning piece has travelled to Asia to be performed before Korean audiences at the DURI Theatre in Seoul.

On 15 November, Flor Buzzo presented her performance ‘Todo bajo control’ (Everything Under Control) in Seoul (South Korea). The piece was awarded the DURI ACT 2024 Prize.

In ‘Todo bajo control’, a woman stubbornly resists until the chaos that drives her body and her guts erupts, even though these impulses are contrary to her reason, until they break her. There are greater forces at work, which she can no longer repress, because they overwhelm her, break her, dishevelled her, knead her… moving her bones, her limbs and pushing from the depths of her guts. The more she tries to repress and control her body, the more difficult it becomes to hide them.

Company: Flor Buzzo
Duration: 15 minutes
Category: Performance
Country of origin: France
Cast: Florencia Buzzo (director, author and performer)

The ACT 2024 jury recognised the piece because the performer had a great presence, with a simple concept developed brilliantly. ‘The technique was beautiful, and the mix of dance, theatre and circus was convincing. It was very accessible to all audiences and very entertaining.’

Born in Buenos Aires, Florencia Buzzo began studying Aikido, dance, artistic gymnastics and acrobatics as a teenager. At the same time, she studied contact improvisation, contemporary dance and body expression at the U.N.A. She then continued her studies, delving deeper into contemporary dance, Flying Low, improvisation and floor acrobatics. Trained and graduated in Circus and Performing Arts from the U.N.S.A.M. (Argentina), she collaborates with various directors and choreographers as well as working as a co-creator in various shows, companies and festivals in South America and Europe. In 2017, she created Flow Force to give a name to the research she has been conducting with the body, and which she currently teaches in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, India, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
